I had an excellent double feature last night. Hot Dog: the Movie and Private Lessons, two early 80s sex comedies that we can all learn a lesson from. I had always remembered Hot Dog: the Movie as a disappointing ski flick that couldn't touch Hamburger: the Motion Picture, but I somehow underestimated how much nudity and hot tub action there is in this one. Worth checking out for a larf, even if just for David Naughton without fangs and wolfhair. Private Lessons was the one that was a surprise- starring Emmanuelle herself, Sylvia Kristel! Sylvie plays a French maid wrapped up in a blackmail plot that involves sharing her vagina with a 15 year old boy. Now I thought depicting scenes of minors engaged in sexual activity was strictly forbatten, but this movie throws that antiquated notion out the back door. After a number of scenes where Sylvia attempts to seduce the youngster (to which he makes exaggerated gulps and guffaws) they finally get down to it a few times. There's some plot involving a father that looks like Billionaire Ted, a fat kid that gives the main character 'advice' on how to score, and Ed Begley Jr. Excellent stuff! Oh, and Howard Hesseman from 'Head of the Class' and 'WKRP' is the villain behind the extortion.

I'll be posting more comics and music soon.
